FinBuddy ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal finance tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application.
FinBuddy does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
All data you enter into FinBuddy — including transactions, budgets, goals, accounts, and card information — is stored exclusively on your device using secure local storage (AsyncStorage and iOS Keychain / Android Keystore for sensitive values).
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use your device's own backup mechanisms (such as iCloud or Android backup), which are governed by Apple's or Google's privacy policies respectively.
FinBuddy does not integrate with any third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers.
The app may use exchange rate data for currency conversion. This request is made to a public exchange rate API and does not include any personal or financial data from your account.
FinBuddy does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not collect any personal data from any user, regardless of age.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the application. No data exists on external servers that would need to be requested for deletion.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
